Job Description for Bilingual Trainer

The Bilingual Training (BT) position is full time, 35 hours per week.

 

The BT reports directly to the Executive Director, and/or her/his designee.


The BT’s responsibilities include management of professional and parent trainings;
conduct trainings and presentations, collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersfor training and outreach purposes; Maintain current with trends related to Special Education; coordinate the collection, development of training materials, curricula for the project, including revision and development of new workshops and materials.

Disseminate project training information, including exhibits and website. Participate in evaluation activities. Develop and maintain relationships with agencies organizations, schools, and groups serving culturally diverse communities and  children with disabilities including to coordinate co-sponsorship of training activities.

Assist in collecting and coordinating data on computer and maintaining database. Attend staff meetings and education-related conferences and trainings.
The BT is also responsible for answering phones, filing, copying, maintaining training
information and client files, maintaining office, common area and bathrooms clean
(including disposing of trash). Assist in conducting translation (English and/or Spanish) of materials, as appropriate. All HUNE staff are also charged with working effectively in teams and working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues. The BT will provide the Executive Director and/or her/his designee with a monthly report on the status of trainings and clients served.
And any other responsibilities the Executive Director deems appropriate within the
scope of the organization’s goals and objectives.
