Individualized Assistance and Training

HUNE's Training and Family/Youth Advising Program provides training, information, individualized support, resources to youth with disabilities and families of children with disabilities.  All of HUNE services are bilingual (Spanish and English).  

 

Outreach:  HUNE networks with the community partners, organizations, businesses and other entities in order to inform families/youth regarding HUNE services and collaborate on a variety of services.

Individualized and Technical Assistance:  HUNE's Parent Advisers provide 

information and support to families of children with disabilities and youth

with disabilities on their educational rights and responsibilities.  They provide them with their options, resources and will attend meetings with the families/youth, if necessary.

Intense Training / Workshops / Webinars:  HUNE provides a 5 week bilingual (Spanish and English) trainings on children with disabilities educational rights.  Workshops and Webinars are provided on a variety of topics that are guided by the Parent Support Group - Andy's Café.  For more information on training / workshop / webinar dates click here.

​Parent Support Group, better known as Andy's Café:  Andy's Café models the Leading by Convening ideologies through empowering families to guide the information and their support needs.  The parent support group meets weekly.  For more information contact Eve Cruz at 215-425-6203 or contactus@huneinc.org.

The Training and Family/Youth Advising Program is focused, but not limited, to North Philadelphia.  This program is a federally funded Community Parent Resource Center (CPRC).​
