An IEP is done after your child is evaluated, and if your child is found to be eligible for special education services or supports.      

 

 

 

An IEP must be written within 30 days after the evaluation is completed. The IEP must be implemented as soon as possible following the development of the IEP.        

 

 

 

 

The IEP is re-written once a year; however, if you feel that your child's IEP is not appropriate, for any reason you can request for the IEP team to reconvene at any time.
